Below is some more information on our five step lawn treatment program. We use the best commercial products on the market. We are licensed and certified with the state of Iowa to apply treatments to your lawn.

Lawn Care Calendar

• Mowing – Approximately 25 mows per season (April through November)
• Soil Testing – Can be performed anytime during the year
• Core Aeration – Performed once a year in the fall or spring
• Overseeding – Performed once a year in the fall or spring
• 5-step lawn treatment program

 

5-Step Lawn Treatment Program – 5 separate lawn treatments throughout season (April through November)

1. Early Spring Application: April 15th – June 1st
   • Pre-emergent control for crabgrass and foxtail
   • Slow release granular fertilizer to promote color and growth
2. Spring Application: June 1st – July 15th
   • Liquid weed control (Controls dandelions and other broadleaf weeds)
3. Summer Application: July 15th – September 1st
   • Slow release granular fertilizer to combat summer stress
   • Spot treatment of broadleaf weeds and grassy weeds
4. Early Fall Application: September 1st – October 15th
   • Liquid weed control (Controls dandelions and other broadleaf weeds)
5. Late Fall Application: October 15th – December 1st
   • Nitrogen fertilizer in a granular form. Helps build thicker and greener lawn for following spring
